Color plays such an important role in our lives. Colors have the ability to transform a space while also having an effect on a person’s emotions. As an Interior Designer, I am always on the hunt for new favorite paint colors to keep in my arsenal. Here are some of my favorite “go to” neutrals, in addition to some of my favorite bold and exciting colors.
Benjamin Moore: White Dove
White Dove | OC-17 | Benjamin Moore
White Dove is a perfect multi-purpose “white”. It has just a bit of warmth to it without giving off a pink hue. It provides a clean and crisp look to any space, with out being uncomfortably bright like pure white colors tend to do.
Benjamin Moore: Revere Pewter

A great universal taupe is Revere Pewter. It is a modern medium tone neutral color that has the versatility to work with warm grays and cool browns. Classic. Check it out in action on these lower kitchen cabinets:
Benjamin Moore: Kendall Charcoal

This deep gray adds a touch of luxury and comfort to a space. Perfect for adding intrigue without too much flash.
Sherwin Williams: Retreat
Retreat | SW6207 | Sherwin Williams
Retreat may be my favorite paint right now. This beautiful mix of gray and green brings a soft elegance that can work well with basically any design style you like.
Benjamin Moore: Hale Navy
Hale Navy | HC154 | Benjamin Moore
Navy’s are super popular right now, and Benjamin Moore’s Hale Navy is one of the best. It has just the right depth of blue that will allow you to highlight whatever it is you would like to accent – whether that be a piece of furniture, artwork, or an interesting architectural feature on a wall.
Benjamin Moore: Celtic Green
Celtic Green | 2038-10 | Benjamin Moore
If you are looking to go bold, Celtic Green brings it and then some! Liven up a favorite room with this adventurous color. Celtic Green is a fully saturated jewel tone that is a true showstopper.
Sherwin Williams: Urbane Bronze
Urbane Bronze | SW7048 | Sherwin Williams
I would like to pay honorable mention to Sherwin Williams’ 2021 color of the year. A rich earthy color that subtly adds a bit of drama and tranquility at the same time.
