South Pier Parlor: Hospitality Design in Sheboygan
Located on Sheboygan’s South Pier, South Pier Parlor is a vibrant example of Hospitality Design in Sheboygan. As an ice cream parlor, the project required a unique approach that combined functionality for staff with a playful, welcoming environment for guests of all ages.
The design team at Distinctive Design Studio focused on creating an atmosphere that feels bright, fun, and approachable. Bold colors, cheerful accents, and thoughtful lighting selections reflect the joy and nostalgia of an ice cream shop. At the same time, durable finishes and efficient layouts ensure the space can withstand high-volume use during busy summer months on the waterfront.
From the service counter to the seating arrangements, each detail was carefully considered to support customer flow and comfort. The exterior design contributes to Sheboygan’s South Pier charm, drawing visitors from downtown and the lakefront. Inside, the parlor balances whimsy with practical hospitality design principles, ensuring an experience that is both delightful and functional.
South Pier Parlor demonstrates how hospitality architecture and interior design can enhance community spaces and local businesses. By blending brand identity, customer experience, and efficient planning, this project showcases how thoughtful design can transform a simple concept into a beloved destination.
